"What to wear today?" - 70s Inspired Outfit

A very good friend of mine, and also a 70s lover, has asked me to do a modern outfit suggestion which will be inspired by that era but still maintain the spirit of today. So here is what I came up - a classic wide pant combined with a neutral colored shirt, a must-have fedora (in this case adorned with feathers for a luxurious touch), a boho shoulder-bag and minimum jewelry. Goes perfectly well with matte red lips.
1. Missoni pants - $1,170 | 2. Eugenia Kim hat - $385 | 3. Michael Kors watch - $250 | 4. Theory shirt - $245 | 5. Monica Vinader rings - $450 | 6. Saint Laurent pumps - $645 | 7. Chloe bag - $995

"What to wear to work today?" - Outfit Suggestions for the Office

When you are a woman working in an office - whether you are a lawyer, a journalist or a secretary - the environment asks for a certain way of dress-code that may not be written, but is certainly important. Throughout the years there have been many debates over the 'appropriate' subject and unfortunately many young women get scolded by their bosses everyday for dressing 'inappropriately', just because no one has shown them what they should wear to the office.

For that reason, I have decided to do a post where I will show you what 'appropriate' means in the office for a summery workday and will hopefully inspire you to dress in a stylish, and yet a well behaved way.

The Pants
1. Valentino pants - $990 | 2. Miu Miu pants - $745 | 3. Etro pants - $560 | 4. Stella McCartney pants - $595

One of the most often pieces of clothing worn to the office are of course the pants. They are a popular item for two reasons: 1. they are very comfortable and 2. they give women a masculine touch, a dose of confidence and more power. There are two styles that are appropriate to the office - the ankle-length pants and the long pants. Any other length that is above the ankle may seem inappropriate and almost beach-like. Remember that the pants should always be in a neutral, preferably darker solid color.

Chloé becomes YSL?

Or does it?!
The ad has been floating around for months (since August to be more precise) and it wasn't until yesterday when the cheeky guys from WWD spotted the embarrassing mistake.
Instead of featuring an-all Chloé outfit (duh) in the ad campaign for Chloé Love perfume, Ezra Petronio - creative director for the fragrance and Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin - photographers, decided to randomly place an YSL belt in the shot.

*NOTE* Notice the logo on the belt - YSL

If you ask me, I don't think these things happen without a reason - an YSL belt doesn't just magically appear on set. The clothes and accessories for the shoot have been taken from the Chloé workroom, meaning there CAN'T be any YSL belts there. Am I the only one who thinks the belt has been brought to set on purpose? I am sure the YSL company is getting a lot of press right now with every blog featuring the mistake. Smart, no?
