As we are counting down the days until the 87th Academy Awards, we all probably have one question in mind: "What will the big stars wear on the red carpet?"

To answer your question, here is my prediction about the English actress Felicity Jones.

What is Felicity Jones going to wear to this year's Academy Awards? If you ask me, it's going to be a dress designed by Raf Simons for Dior. Ms. Jones has been favoring the brand since the premiere of The Theory of Everything and has worn its designs to several big occasions, including the Golden Globes. For the big night she might choose a gown from the house's latest Haute Couture collection or wear something modified from the international Pre-Fall '15 show staged in Tokyo.

If Felicity's stylist, or the house of Dior, decides not to share the spotlight with French actress Marion Cotillard on the red carpet, Ms. Jones will most likely turn to her other favorite brands. One is Valentino, the other is London-based designer Erdem and the last one being the most popular British house, Alexander McQueen, mostly famous for its controversial founder and lately because of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress.

Haute Couture F/W '14 Trend Report: All red everything

Each Haute Couture season there is one super-popular color that makes editors and audience members go crazy. This time it was the color red - and we are talking about lots of it, in every shade imaginable.

The most eye-catching parade of all red looks was Viktor & Rolf's F/W '14 show. This season marked the duo's second time making couture after their long break from the extremely creative side of the business and as per they brought their
witty sense of humor along. The collection consists of twenty two red looks that unlike the competitors' garments created
for the red carpet, are actually made of one.

Another successful attempt at the all-red trend was Giorgio Armani's elegant fairy-tale. The classic Italian designer deci-ded to show a tricolored collection that put an emphasis on
the importance of red, thus showing incredibly sculpted eve-ning wear in the fiery color which is surely to turn heads on
the red carpet come awards season.

The color was inevitable in almost every other collection. Hussein Chalayn's first attempt at Vionnet saw the designer play with different shades of red in the form of pleats; Karl Lagerfeld injected the color in his feminine three-piece suits woven with concrete for Chanel; Alexandre Vauthier over-embellished a red mini with sparkling crystals and Russian socialite-cum-designer Ulyana Sergeenko used it as one of the colors for her gradient furs.

Red also found itself on the runways at Schiaparelli in the form of a fuzzy red coat, at Valentino as a long evening dress tied with a leather belt and at Jean Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad used alongside an ombre technique for a more glamorous effect.

Haute Couture F/W '14 Trend Report: Sculpted whites

As per, the Haute Couture fashion week that took place in Paris this fall/winter season brought very few surpri-ses but a lot of memorable looks. Versace Atelier went rock-glam, Raf Simons mixed eight different eras into one show and Uncle Karl traded his luxurious sets for something more intimate.

The question is, 'What did most collections have in co-mmon?' Well, they all played around with voluminous white silhouettes.

Probably the most successful attempt at this trend was Lagerfeld's vision for Chanel. After a few stale seasons, the legendary designer found a new way to impress cli-ents by creating "molded" dresses that barely had any seams. Mostly adorned with exquisite gold embroidery, these garments seem to have already found their way into fashion history - along with those concrete beaded ones, of course.

Others had slightly different interpretations of the 'scul-pted whites' trend but still stayed on point. Simons pre-sented a modern fairy-tale that included Marie Antoi-nette-inspired dresses in shades varying from off to snow white; Donatella Versace decided to dig in the 50s for inspiration and pulled out big deconstructed ballgowns for her namesake brand; Giambattista Valli went with his forte and embroidered the white garments with three-dimensional flowers, while Maria and Pierpaolo insisted on a simplified version of the 'little white dress' for Valentino.

What will the presenters wear to Oscars 2014?

As we are counting down the days until the 86th Academy Awards, we all probably have one question in mind: "What will the big stars wear on the red carpet?"

You can read my predictions about several nominated stars such as Cate Blanchett and Lupita Nyong'o throughout the previous posts and here is the last part of the project showing you what the presenters might wear to this year's Oscars.

Above are the outfit predictions for two gorgeous stars - Jessica Biel and the legendary Angelina Jolie. For the big night I think Jessica will stay true to her romantic aesthetic and don this flower-printed gown from her favorite designer Giambattista Valli, while Angelina Jolie would probably continue the menswear get-ups and wear this sequined jumpsuit with a cape from Atelier Versace.

Next on the list we have Jennifer Garner, lately known for her role in the nominated film "Dallas Buyers Club", who could end up wearing this lace blue column gown from Oscar de la Renta and the pregnant star Kerry Washington who I think will wear this printed maternity dress from Carolina Herrera's latest fall collection.

America's sweetheart Anne Hathaway switched stylists this year and therefore said goodbye to the princess gowns, so I believe she could possibly wear this emerald silk taffeta Valentino column dress from the brand's S/S '14 Couture collection, whereas the beautiful actress Kate Hudson could end up wearing something majestic from British designer Alexander McQueen.

Last but not least we have Charlize Theron and Naomi Watts - two beautiful actresses who prefer minimalism and comfort over drama. Theron is a big fan of Christian Dior and this pantsuit from the brand's S/S '14 Couture collection is perfect for the star, while Naomi Watts was a front-row guest at Calvin Klein's latest show in NYC which could indicate the American house is going to dress the actress for this year's Academy Awards.

What will Julia Roberts wear to Oscars 2014?

As we are counting down the days until the 86th Academy Awards, we all probably have one question in mind: "What will the big stars wear on the red carpet?"

To answer your question, here is my prediction about the legendary actress Julia Roberts.

There was a time when Julia Roberts was a regular guest at glamorous ceremonies, dressed to the nines in a sleek Valentino gown and a shiny bun - but while her style might have shifted to low-key and far more comfortable, her love for the brand hasn't dissolved. I think Ms. Roberts will appear at this year's Academy Awards wearing one of the simplistic one-colored column dresses in earthy tones from the brand's S/S '14 Couture collection, pictured above.

Julia's favorite color - however - is black, so chances are also high that she could decide to go with something dark as to not steal the spotlight from her more-buzzed nominated colleagues in the Supporting actress category. If she does indeed wear black, I believe it will either be a custom made dress by Dolce&Gabbana, something simple from Stella McCartney or a glamorous ethereal gown by Elie Saab's latest Couture collection.

What will Amy Adams wear to Oscars 2014?

As we are counting down the days until the 86th Academy Awards, we all probably have one question in mind: "What will the big stars wear on the red carpet?"

To answer your question, here is my prediction about the redhead actress Amy Adams.

Just like Lupita Nyong'o, I believe Amy Adams - nominated for Leading Actress at this year's Academy Awards - should wear an Elie Saab dress from the designer's S/S '14 Couture collection. The American Hustle actress has been sporting a '70s look inspired by the movie throughout the promo tour and awards season and I think she should continue that by choosing either the ethereal yellow dress with a plunging neckline or the Grecian-goddess chiffon dress in iris blue, both pictured above.

It is not excluded that Ms. Adams might wear a custom made dress by Antonio Berardi - a designer she often favors on the red carpet, the black gown with a modified neckline from Victoria Beckham's F/W 14.15 collection or the simple champagne-colored silk gown with a deep V-neck and long sleeves from Valentino Couture.

To answer your question, here is my prediction about the beautiful Cate Blanchett.

There is no doubt that Cate Blanchett is a big Armani fan - she has worn Giorgio Armani to a lot of events throughout the years and has never missed the mark when it comes to her fashion choices. Considering she is this year's favorite to pick up the Oscar for Leading Actress, I believe Ms. Blanchett will go with Armani Privé on the big night, choosing either an embellished gown or a romantic pantsuit

(which would be a rather daring choice) from the S/S '14 collection.

Ms. Blanchett has also religiously worn brands like Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and Valentino and has looked stunning in their creations, so she might also pick a garment from one of their new collections or have something custom made which is fit for a star of her range.

"What to wear to work today?" - Outfit Suggestions for the Office

When you are a woman working in an office - whether you are a lawyer, a journalist or a secretary - the environment asks for a certain way of dress-code that may not be written, but is certainly important. Throughout the years there have been many debates over the 'appropriate' subject and unfortunately many young women get scolded by their bosses everyday for dressing 'inappropriately', just because no one has shown them what they should wear to the office.

For that reason, I have decided to do a post where I will show you what 'appropriate' means in the office for a summery workday and will hopefully inspire you to dress in a stylish, and yet a well behaved way.

The Pants

One of the most often pieces of clothing worn to the office are of course the pants. They are a popular item for two reasons: 1. they are very comfortable and 2. they give women a masculine touch, a dose of confidence and more power. There are two styles that are appropriate to the office - the ankle-length pants and the long pants. Any other length that is above the ankle may seem inappropriate and almost beach-like. Remember that the pants should always be in a neutral, preferably darker solid color.

Collection Déjà Vus - How Much is Too Much?

With the blog's new look comes a new style - it is not enough for me to just review the newest collections or present you with outfit ideas or new collections. Given the freedom and power as a blogger, I feel the need to express my opinion on problems concerning fashion that may be small to the "big" world - but matter a lot to ours.

The Big Problem - When did it Actually Start?

We are all familiar with the word 'recession' and its impact on the world economy, and more importantly - on fashion. Ever since 2008, all we've been hearing about is cutting expenses, minimalism and plain presentations. Another association that comes to mind when someone mentions the word 'recession' is the word, safe. Statistics show that since the beginning of the recession, repetitive collections have been selling like hot cakes, while risk-takers and fashion forward designers have been classified as economic failures. 

Given this, more and more designers have been jumping on the 'repetition' band wagon, desperately trying to save their companies and maximize their profits. However, while this may keep the world of fashion financially stable, what has happened to creativity?

A Growing Trend - Whose Fault is it?

Imagine a bad situation that has happened to you in life. A failed relationship, a bad date, a ruined dress. We always try to blame someone for our misfortune. And while that is a bad approach.. almost all the time, I have to point the finger to the main duo responsible for this "trend" - Dolce&Gabbana. Starting with their S/S 2010 collection back in 2009, the designers have given the word 'repetitive' a whole new meaning. Below is a not-so-complete retrospective of their work until that season (my personal favorites). What you can clearly see is the creativity behind those masterpieces, their ability to explore new themes and start groundbreaking trends.

What you see in the photo below is variations of the same Sicilian theme over and over again. For me, the only way to distinguish those collections is by giving them different names such as Dolce&Musicana for F/W 2011, or Dolce&Banana for the fruit/vegetable inspired S/S 2012 one.

The Blind Side - Who Followed?

Following in Dolce&Gabbana's footsteps, Valentino's new duo started establishing the modern Valentino girl. Dressed in nude and covered with lace and studs, she continues to haunt their shows with minor changes to this day. Unfortunately that wasn't all. Red carpet's favorite designer, Elie Saab ditched his themed shows as well, showing 5 different dresses in every color imaginable, season after season. Also let's not forget to add Sarah Burton's McQueen, Balmain - under any creative director, Pucci and Giambattista Valli as very important additions to that list. What's scary: the list is just getting bigger.

Important Question: Who is Letting this Happen?

Okay, we all know that fashion is a business, and business is all about money and so on. It is normal for owners of big luxury groups like LVMH and PPR to push their designers to 'be safe' and create wearable items season after season. However, why would anyone want to look the same every season? Shouldn't I, as a customer, want different themes from different designers? That way I would spend more, as I want to own at least one piece from every iconic collection. Very logical. But no, apparently that is not how things work in our fashion world. Apparently, now, what's 'in' is to drool over the same items again and again. Which brings me to this question: What idiot buys the same Dolce&Gabbana lace dress for the rest of their life? First world problems.

Moment of Truth - How Can We Solve this?

As an individual, not me - nor you (unless you're Anna Wintour) can do much about it. However, you know what they say - think globally, act locally! The one thing that everyone can do is re-inspect their values. Instead of screaming 'Oh my God, I love that studded Valentino clutch!' that I have seen 10 times before, I would praise young designers like Alexander Wang or Christopher Kane who are trying to make a statement in this world while entertaining us. Let's also not forget the absolute legends - what's left of them after McQueen and Galliano anyway, Miuccia Prada and Marc Jacobs who bring new items to the table season after season. That is the talent we need to acknowledge. For once, forget about the pretty dresses and platform shoes and look into the future - is women wearing Dolce&Gabbana what you really wish to see?

Menswear Wrap-up

It's the end of Menswear Fashion Week (everywhere) and Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week as well. And of course I haven't posted anything in a month and feel terrible about it, so why not try and make it up for you! First of all, I am working on a new collection and second, I will present you my top collections from the Menswear F/W 2013 Fashion Week.

What: Fendi

Why I love it: An extremely beautiful graphic collection, following the womenswear S/S 2013 one. I love the colors, the beautifully shaped coats and all the fur. Call me tacky, but I'd carry those fur bags, I'd warm my hands in the fur handwarmers and even wear those fur boots! (Chanel F/W 2010, it's your fault)

Craving: The yellow coat present above.

What: Valentino

Why I love it: A very serious, maybe a bit one-note collection, but definitely beautifully executed and sharp. Love the tailoring, all the male clutches (I did not just say that), the fur details and the leather panels on all the jackets. Also gorgeous styling, a step forward from the usual Valentino shows.

Craving: The gray cape with black leather panels.

What: Burberry Prorsum

Why I love it: Whatever Bailey produces for Burberry Prorsum, it is going to end on my best-shows list. The only difference between shows is the degree of craving the items presented. Although I've seen much more interesting work in the previous seasons, I do love this collection because of the subtle animal prints (yes, I started liking animal prints this season, they're everywhere), the fun heart printed pieces, sexy messenger bags and classic military coats.

Craving: The leopard printed sunglasses. They're so gonna be a must-have!

What: Gucci

Why I love it: Another beautiful collection by Frida. Like Burberry, Gucci always ends up on my list because it is definitely my style. Classic, sexy and trendy clothes spiced up with bright colors and houndstooth prints. Loved the chunky sweaters, all the bags and evening wear.

Craving: The leather bag pictured above. 

What: Salvatore Ferragamo

Why I love it: A new edgy mood I've never felt before at Ferragamo, I must say I am pleasantly surprised. I loved all the leather pieces, accessories as well as the sweaters. The coats were perfection as always. 

Craving: The insanely beautiful gray cape from above. I never knew I wanted a cape but there you go, I want a cape. BADLY.

What: Louis Vuitton

Why I love it: A wise man once said - If you want to know the real me, look into my closet (okay I totally made that up, but it sounds better when said like that). The Louis Vuitton collection is everything I need in my closet - starting with the coats, the pants, all the sweaters, bomber jackets, parkas and everything in between. I also found the silk flower printed suits and robes at the end magnificent. If I had this I would never buy clothes again. (okay, lying)

Craving: The answer to this would be everything, but let's settle down for the striped poncho with a fur-lined hat.

Freeze in style

I realized I hadn't done such a post in a long time. I always enjoy putting themed outfits together, whether it's for a special occasion or simply a certain time of the year. This time it's winter themed outfits - made to help you face the cold weather in style!

The Princess

As you know, I always make several outfits matching different styles and personalities. The first one is for the princess - a girl who loves mixing white and pink, a girl who loves to inject whimsicality in her outfits to look even dreamier. The outfit is consisted of a white coat with fur collar, lady-like pumps, white fur earmuffs and a book clutch with a floral cover for an interesting statement.

The Edgy Girl

The second outfit is for the edgy girl. A girl who loves her leather pieces and tries to insert as many leather pieces as possible to toughen up her look. However the edgy girl doesn't always have to wear black - that is why I tried to inject some color in the outfit via the bright pink clutch (still studded though), burgundy pants and ink blue panels on her shoes. 

The Classic Lady

The classic lady likes to stay true to the standards of beauty - two to three colors in her outfit, nothing too risky and nothing too trendy. However this winter I suggest a black cape with leather edges instead of the classic coat, a black shirt with sheer sleeves and gold panels on the collar and shoes in burgundy, navy or purple with sequined soles for a little playfulness. 

The Tomboy

The tomboy is a complete opposite from the lady - she likes to dress casually, wearing mostly jeans, sweaters and hard boots. This season's hit - the parka, is perfect for this type of girl. Wear it with a quirky printed sweater, winter ankle boots and a cute knitted hat with a fur beanie for a casual but yet polished statement. 

You can find all the outfits used on Net-a-porter. However, for those with a much lower budget and all the young girls out there I would suggest you shop pieces similar to these in stores like H&M, Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Asos or Topshop. That way you would be dressed head-to-toe in style with much less money!

Couture Fashion Week 2011 - I wore what?

It was Haute Couture Fashion Week for the past 3 days in Paris, and of course my dollie got invited to all big shows and events during this (as I'd like to call it) Couture Wonderland.

Dodence_bt saw the same things as everyone else who attended, from gorgeous shows to fantastic people and of course amazing parties. But what I'd like to share with you is the outfits worn during Couture fashion week - all 11 of them!
